Our very own Airport Avengers
For most of us, we like our experience at the airport to be quick, easy and most importantly, hassle free. However, there’s never knowing when something would go wrong. It could be from the tiniest thing like getting around the airport or it could be a much more serious manner such as losing our belongings.
Yet, when facing problems at the airport, your experience doesn’t have to be bad. Not if you meet these special bunch who are ready to help you in any way they can.
Meet your local airport superheroes or better known as Airport CARE Ambassadors. In a sea of people, you can easily spot their presence. Clad in their sharp blue uniforms and ‘Ask Me’ sash, these people are an integral component in creating a pleasant passenger experience at Malaysia’s airports such as the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2).
Working around the clock, these people are your go-to experts when it comes to the airports. They know every nook and cranny of the building and most of them are able to speak two or three different languages like Chinese, Arabic, Tamil, Russian, English and many more. Tourists flying in to Malaysia would not need to worry about the language barrier as you probably could find an Airport CARE Ambassador that speaks your language.
Their duties go beyond assisting with wayfinding and helping passengers with their luggage. From helping a lost passenger to the right gate, to personally escorting children who are travelling alone, to helping reunite family members, there are millions of stories that they could share with the world.
Recently three of them sat down for an interview and shared the details about their responsibilities, fondest memories from the job as well as the thing that they love the most about our international airports.
So next time you are at KLIA or klia2, look out for our Airport Ambassador and ask them a question, you might just find yourself a new friend.
